My name is Carly and welcome to my knitting blog.  I am a 27 year-old woman who has been knitting for about 6 years.  Knitting is a self-taught craft; I picked up a small pamphlet-style book at the local Hobby-Lobby, a pair of Boye aluminums, and some Caron Simply Soft and followed along with the pictures.  None of my family knits and none of my friends knit; although, a few do crochet.  Everything I know about fiber arts comes from books or the Internet.  I am extremely grateful to the online community for their willingness to reach out and educate anonymous people for no other reason than because they share a common interest.  And that is the reason that I am beginning this blog–to further reach out to those like me who might have no other knitting buddies than those on the other end of a cable modem.
