It’s been one hell of a morning so far, but it’s been fun. Been a while since I woke up, got to work and was in the mindset of “Let’s Do This!” But it feels good to be back on track, even if we are running at 110% speed or higher. We start testing our product today. It sounds a lot more glamorous than it is and I’m sure we will break it four or five times, but wish us luck nevertheless.

In other news: OU is #1! That’s right, our victory over TCU while everyone else does poorly has given us the top seat. Seems we are now the team to beat, at least officially.

Well, I’ve been a bit lax updating this blog and such. Oh, and just for the record, the amount of SPAM that comes into this place is unprecedented. Work and other factors have kept me from being in a very positive mood lately. But I’m definitely moving past that and into more positive territory now. Regardless of everything that’s going on, its not much of a blog if I don’t post. So I’m resolving to post here even if it takes a little bit of extra time.

I’m working on a major project at work that has executive eyes on it and now a lot of the work is in my court. It all comes to a head this October. I’ll be busy as hell on phase 2 of the project through peak and through the winter too. But that’s okay. As my father says: “They can’t eat you.” And he’s right.

I’m about halfway through a Clash of Kings. Very good so far. Tyrion is one magnificent bastard. GRRM is indeed a master of his craft. I’m just hoping his craft takes me to a place I want to go and it isn’t all in the journey.

I saw Burn After Reading. Another interesting gem from the Cohen brothers. Very dark. Very satirical. This is not a Hudsucker or a O’Brother… This is a Fargo. I think the moral of the story is that no one is completely competent and you should look at everything you do with a certain sense of levity.
